Introduction
“Coaching is a game changer”: I have come to this conclusion as a coaching client. This experience affected me so deeply that I decided to become a coach myself. Coaching is the perfect setting to develop leadership, team relations and change. I believe coaching starts with creating a trusted and safe conversation between the client and the coach. Together, we start a journey that sets out the client to become an inspiring and trusted leader. Coaching aims at making change happen at different levels: in how we know ourselves, in how we work with others and in how we define and achieve success.
My clients are high performing and ambitious executives willing to strengthen their leadership on their way to a new challenge, to a larger function, a new working orientation or reformulating their leadership style, their career path and ambition. My contracting is putting my clients center stage. In this coaching project, they define what success looks like, they decide where to put the bar and what is important, whether this is within their current working environment, looking at their work-life balance, or exploring other avenues they feel are most important for them at that moment. Our work is strictly confidential and we will involve other stakeholders only in consultation and on terms agreed by my clients.
I bring along a career in managing change projects, in leading teams, in risk management, all of that in the Finance industry. I am therefore particularly comfortable in these areas. I am keen in helping executives become true leaders, set aspirational goals for themselves, for their teams and businesses and unleash exceptional performance. I have good experience in seeking interview based 360 feedbacks from the working colleagues of my clients and re-injecting this into the coaching project.
I believe that coaching is about “ a conversation we have never had before” where the relation between the coach and his client is given center stage. Trained in Ashridge, I have been introduced to (Gestalt) relational coaching and formed a basic belief in the capacity of men and women to reflect and find ways to thrive in the right conditions. My biography, my being gay and the meanders of life have given me a dual, cross-cultural, bi-lingual personality. I deal well with ambiguity and unconventional situations.
